Arrow UK Network Speeds

I've done some research into network speeds, mainly around London, but across the UK too.

http://hemorrdroids.net/uk-mobile-data-speeds/

I'm disappointed in myself that I've put up with such poor speed/connectivity from Orange for so long, when there are such better services out there.

I think I've always been happy with their customer service, so thought I was with the best service. Having been using Three for a couple of weeks, it's amazing how I can rely on my phone connection like never before.

In the UK? Three is whooping it's ass. Granted, results are mainly from towns, but even when I was out and about, it was reporting faster results than other networks.

Surprising results.

I was on Three for years, but in my area they are just no good.
As I spend most of my time at work I had to have a decent signal, on 3 separate phones I had no more than 1-2 bars if at all and no 3G at work. I also did not get a very good signal in my town either.

Granted I work in a big metal shed, but still... ALOT of employees where I work are on O2 and have a full signal and full 3G coverage in the whole building. So, when I got my iPhone 4 I switched to O2, have not regretted it one bit, cheaper price plan, granted not unlimited data but I hooked up to the work wi-fi so saves me a bundle. get full signal all round work and 3G when wi-fi is out of range.

All in all happy with O2, but giffgaff is looking tempting now as a backup sim or a new provider when O2 runs out.
