Default Fallout: New Vegas

I'm sure I've heard comments that this is a reasonable game?

It's down to 13.99 on the PS3 on Play -

Worth the spend?

Dont really think its your sort of game, and its buggy as hell.

I also dont think its as good as Fallout 3, i started this one, but it just doesnt have the same grip as 3, and i still havent finished it.

I would never play it on a console specially since its one of the few games that was designed for PC. I love it been wandering around in the world for over 50 hours, but yeah you would hate it.

lots of crash bugs on ps3 for this game.. I've played it 5-6 hours and it froze 2 times..
this is 2 weeks ago, so I think they havnt fixed it yet. The same thing happend to fallout3 on ps3.. took quite osm etime before they fixed it so it would be playable agen.

and I agree with crippler, doesn't really give you anything this game.. Its not as dark as F3, it's not that breathtaking as it should be.. the story doesn't seem as good as in F3 either.

The graphics are the same as F3 and that is "bad" considering other games graphics...

Haven't tried it on pc tho , since I only have ps3 at work...

I have it on PC and I've actually found myself playing this one. I got a little bored of Fallout 3 there was just to many things you could do.

That statement kind of contradicts itself, but I think I know what you mean. In single player games, I actually prefer it to be linear. Non-linear means I can waste a lot of time, doing things that aren't important... or even I can't find what I'm supposed to be doing!

Exactly, the nice thing with Vagas (at the start as I'm only just getting in to it) is that you get shown where to go, what to do or find and where.

Ok - basically you start with a cut-scene where you are 'killed' and buried.

After the obligatory waking-up at a doctors scene you can start your exploring and racking up the quests.

It turns out that you are (were) a courier - apparantly taking some nicknacks somewhere, and for some reason someone decided to have you terminated.

From there it's up to you - you can go and find the guy that shot you - or you can bide your time, collect information to find out whats going on.
Get can choose who to help or kill - even the usual bad guys are approachable until you get into their bad books, actually that is the case for any faction - depending on your reputation with each one you can be very trigger happy or not, it's up to you.

You can have one humanoid companion and one non-human one at the same time - each has their own path.
You can gather ingredients to make medicines, load and convert different ammos and make new and exciting things.
Oh - and you can acquire mods for guns.

I must admit that I am engrossed with it, but I prefer this sort of game to some mindless blasting game.

enough of a summary?
