It looks nice, but the trailer didn't give me goose bumps like some of the others have in the past

Have to agree with Curfish, looks fantastic and maybe a MW2 killer for PC players. Will it have dedicated servers etc though?

Breath into the bag McBain - calm down and relax.

I must admit that this does look like a very good game:
co-op between team members,
customization of load outs,
points for assists,
DESTRUCTABLE ITEMS.

One to definitely keep an eye on - hopefully it woun't have the MW2 limitations and will be receieved well.

Okay, here's my serious thoughts on the game. Battlefield 2 is probably my favourite game of all time. Behind CSS, (which we played for years until there were other options) BF2 is a long way clear of the others on my Xfire profile.

MW2 is an awesome game, but there are things that it just can't compete with on the BF series. Vehicles and squads for me are an awesome part of the series. MW2 has upgrades and perks, BF has vehicles and sqauds.

Watching these vids, I got the goose bumps I usually get from the BF adverts with the 'du du dun da dun dun!'

As soon as this is available for pre order on Steam (provided they get it all worked out) I will be handing over my PayPal details for them.

From:
http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/batt...-n-dice.aspx##

'Steam Beta: .... We are however working with Steam to have the Public PC Beta available on Steam, but can't confirm this quite yet so cross your fingers Steam users.

Anti Cheat: We're going with PunkBuster supporting the same options BF2 and BF2142 had to run unranked without PunkBuster.

Mod Tools: There will not be mod tools for BFBC2. However a majority of the the games logic is controlled by the server and there will be Serverside control options for the dedicated servers.

Public Server Files: We will not distribute these publicly. There are many factors for why we have decided this with the biggest factor being security & integrity of our game & Dedicated Servers.'

So - we people be able to play this at a LAN? or indeed run their own server? the mod tools entry suggests there will be, but the public server files bit suggests there won't - unless I am reading this wrong it looks as though there won't be.
hmm wait and see, but I would see it as a real MW2 killer just to have dedicated servers.

from reading that i got the impression that they wont release the files to make your own server, so i assume companies will have to buy them privately from them to then be able to offer them to individuals. Or they may only offer them to server companies.

The part about mod tools etc sounds like there musty bne dedicated of some kind.
