I was worried they would do this, I think it unlocks at 10am Pacific Time. That means no gaming until 5pm

Nevermind, I have a reasonably full day until then.

It's funny, this is the most I've looked forward to a game since... well, I don't know.

I know Sc00bs and Mrs S were interested. Maybe if you give them a shout and find one more...

Well first impressions and I am a bit disappointed, its very rough and rugged, scrolling is jumpy and there is no way to change the resolution.

Also I have read the multiplayer is a bit hit and miss at the moment.

I will have a better play later on, but I see McBain been playing it a fair bit so opinions?

A couple steam posts about it below.

It's exactly as I remember it. The scrolling always was a little jumpy.

Really enjoyed it. Cranked up a skirmish and whooped the computer, then upped the skill level and just spend probably an hour and a half fighting off both computer opponents, before getting bored of that game and quit.

I've a little to learn again still I think, but have really enjoyed the last couple of hours.

I guess people might be disappointed if they're expecting a 2013 quality game. I wasn't really.

I wasn't really expecting a 2013 game, but with a new engine i was expecting it to be a bit more smooth, and at least the ability to change the resolution.

Maybe if I can we can try a game on Sunday.

I can't even get it to boot up... launch it, get the steam launcher and then nothing... first time I booted it the launcher crashed and I got a message, now everytime I see the little steam box saying it's starting the game and then nothing happens

Any ideas?

Some of the comments on that thread and some of the comments on the thread about the actual release time thread amaze me. I don't know how some people get through life with such a negative, cynical view... it can't be a good way to live.

I think I found the level to play, I think it was on hard. I got the win, but the sneaky way by building a Wonder.

To be fair, if we hadn't been on two seperate islands, he'd have wooped me. I need to practice lots more!
